Terms & Conditions

The lodge is a loved and cherished building, offering guests a fabulous opportunity to share a little slice of Dorset.  It is yours for the weekend, but we do ask you take care of ‘her’ as you would your own home.  We know there are accidents, so please share them with us and will do our best to mend / replace and work with you to minimize any expense.

Length of rental – from Friday morning to Sunday 12pm. – You will be met on site on the day to settle you in and show you around.  You will be able to leave the key on Sunday.

Cleaning – please leave the lodge swept and mopped. Remove any debris form the guest toilets. Clean sinks, binsand worktops in the kitchen

Rubbish and bottles – to be removed by the client by Sunday morning or arrangement for collection can be offered @ from £150 per rental.

Electrics – There is a standard electrical supply which can be overloaded.

If you are hiring just the lodge the electric supply should be fine, however if you are adding a marquee and marquee kitchen then a generator will be needed to cope with extra needs. Talk to us and we can guide you through your electrical needs.

Parking – The field opposite can be used and there is roadside parking, but please be aware of our neighbours and general traffic.

Events – Music to be off by 11.30pm – please be aware of the neighbours. Guests to have left the building and area by 12am. This will be checked on the night.

Kitchen and equipment – Please leave as you have found the lodge.  The lodge will be professionally cleaned before the event, so it is a ready to receive you.

Fridge / freezer – Please use and leave clean and empty and takeaway your leftovers.

Neatly put away any crockery and glass into cupboards and draws – a stock take will be taken On Monday and charges will apply for broken / missing items – If you do have any accidents, please leave a note and we can arrange replacements.

Deposit - £500.00 deposit is required with booking – this is towards any damages of the building / garden / furniture or equipment.   should you have a major incident this will be charged in accordance of the damages incurred and invoiced accordingly.

Candles and lanterns – All candles to be in either lanterns or tea light holders – no candlesticks or naked candles.

Absolutely NO Chinese lanterns or FIREWORKS to be released – we are in the heart of farmland / livestock and there are many Thatch cottages in the area.

The hanging of lights and decorations from the beams in the lodge – Please NO nails or hammered in items, drape, tapeand pin only – please remove all of this afterwards.

Smoking Policy – There is an area outside the building but feel free to set up your own area and provide ashtrays etc NO Smoking within the building.

Please be kind and gentle to the French doors – unplug anycables / decorations before closing the doors. Be gentle with the locks – lift the handles up and turn key to lock – replacements of the handles and locks are £300.00 – so it is in your interest to love them!
